Covergirl Clump Crusher Extensions Lash blast mascara review

I have never tried any of the Covergirl products before, but I was in desperate need of a new mascara and I really liked the look of the brush.

The formula isn't too thick and it doesn't clump at all which is great. It doesn't necessarily give the lashes that full lash effect but I does lengthen them some what.

The colour says 'very black' but I would say it's just black as it's not an overly strong black colour. It does hold the lashes the whole day which is good.

Personally, I prefer my lashes to look fuller as well as longer, but I don't mind that this mascara doesn't give me this as it means I can wear it at school without being told off. It gives the lashes length and a subtle amount of definition to the eye, so I think it would look perfect with a super natural make up look or if you were in a rush and wanted to look a little bit more put together.

It does need a few coats to really get the perfect look, but overall I think it's an ok mascara. If you prefer longer, fuller lashes, don't choose this mascara as it won't give you that. It does have a nice formula and it doesn't clump and the brush ensures that each lash is coated in mascara.

I bought this mascara for $15 NZD from Love My Makeup, it was around $7 cheaper to buy it from there than from The Warehouse which was charging $22 for this mascara.

Love My Makeup has loads of makeup for less, they have a facebook page:    https://www.facebook.com/LovemyMakeupNZ and their sister makeup site is Makeup Clearance Company: www.makeupclearance.co.nz

PRODUCT REVIEW-Schwarzkopf Nordic Blonde Lightening Spray

Schwarzkopf Nordic Blonde Lightening Spray

For awhile now I had wanted to lighten my hair, but I didn't want to dye it as I know that's quite harsh on my hair. Instead I picked up this product and thought why not give it a go.

It seemed relatively easy to use as all I had to do was apply it to damp hair, comb it through and leave it in my hair to dry.

The product comes in this spray bottle which I found made applying the product super quick and easy.  It also meant that I could cover more of my hair faster which was great.

I have ash blonde hair, some people call it mousy brown, but I was a blondie when I was little. The spray says it can lighten up to two shades lighter and that using heat (hair straighteners, curling irons, hair dryers) can further lighten your hair. I had to apply it twice, because my hair was that bit darker, but now my hair is definitely one to two shades lighter. It's now a dark honey/caramel colour with a strawberry blonde tint as there are strawberry blonde genes in my family.

Overall, if you want to drastically change your hair colour, then I wouldn't recommend this, but if you have highlights you want to lighten up or if you want to go a shade or two lighter for a more subtle look then I would definitely recommend this product. It's quick and easy to use and the results were pretty good and it was fast and I didn't have to worry about timing the amount of time the dye was in my hair or any of the issues that come with dying your hair.

It's around $12.00 NZD and I picked this up from The Warehouse.

Clothing Haul!

Basically, I spent way too much money.

Factorie

1. True white black striped Axel Tee

I bought this on sale for $9.95 NZD, but it originally retailed for $24.95 NZD.
I love tshirts from factorie, the fabric is soft and light and I like that they aren't too tight or super baggy.

2.  Siren crop printed tee

I bought both of these on sale for $9.95 NZD, but they both originally retailed for $24.95 NZD.
I like that these crop tops aren't tight and the sleeves are a nice length.

3. Tube maxi skirt in navy/milk stripe

Retails for $29.95 NZD
I love that it has the two splits either side so it is super easy to walk in and I love the narrow stripes and the colours work really well together.

Nike Dri-Fit Running shorts

Retails for $50.00 NZD
I love the light weight material and they are super comfy to wear for exercise and for lounging around the house in.

Dotti denim super tube jeans

Retails for $79.99 NZD, bought for $55.00 NZD.
I love this style of jeans, and the material is thin which makes it easier to move around in compared to original denim. I love the colour and the styling of the pockets, and there are fully functional front pockets and all of the other pockets on the side and back of jeans are functional as well, as are the zips which is awesome.

Forever New Nadia geometric intarsi sweater

Retails for $99.99 NZD.
This was my most expensive purchase, but it is probably my favourite. The fibre blend is super soft and it isn't too thick so it doesn't look bulky. I love the colours and simple design and I cannot wait for it to be colder so that I can wear it.

So, as you can see, I really did spend too much money.... But, I did find some awesome clothes that I can wear all year.

JANUARY FAVOURITES

So... it's a little bit late but things were hectic, anyways, here are my January Favourites.

1. Forever New purse

I was given this purse for Christmas and I absolutely love it. The colour combination of black and gold is one of my favourite combinations and I love that the purse has small handles and a long detachable shoulder strap. It has more room than you think, I can comfortably fit my small Pierre Cardin coin and keys purse, my phone, lipstick, lip balm and sunglasses plus some room to spare. It is only a purse, I wouldn't consider it a handbag as it doesn't fit my life into it, but it means that I can comfortably carry the essentials I need on a day or night out. I don't know how much it is, but it is from Forever New and they have really classy purses and handbags.

2. Blogilates 2015 Fit Planner

I love being organised and being organised helps me stay motivated to do things. One of my goals this year is to eat healthier food and exercise on a more regular basis. I have been using creator Cassey Ho's blogilates workout videos for 2 years now and I love her approach to working out and how to balance life, eating healthy and working out. I decided to order the Fit Planner with the hopes that it would help me keep everything on track and so far, it totally has. I love being able to keep track of things and see what I have achieved which helps keep me motivated.
It costs $32.00 USD plus $5.00 Shipping in the US and $10.00 Shipping for international orders

3. E.L.F Nail Polish in Royal Purple

This was also a Christmas gift, but the colour is gorgeous. It is a rich, berry toned purple with a slight shimmer and it's super quick and easy to apply. It needs two coats, but it dries quickly and looks beautiful.

I only have three favourites as I was on a super tight spending budget, and decided to avoid shopping all together, but I thought I would share my small collection with all of you anyways.
Hope the new year has been good for you so far!
